Ne-Yo Disses Snooki’s Rolling Stone Cover

9 Mar

When MTV created the reality TV series Jersey Shore, they created a reality juggernaut. The show’s stars have catapulted the show’s success by getting endorsements, sponsors, fragrances and appearances. This even includes magazine covers.

A couple of weeks ago, Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi graced the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine, and while many quietly voiced their distaste for the reality star’s presence on the cover, singer/songwriter Ne-Yo shared his frustration via Twitter:

Wow. Snooki is on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Really? I quit. (Just kidding, but almost serious….) No disrespect to Snooki, I don’t know her, but damn Rolling Stone? REALLY? REALLY! I guess…..

I feel a rant coming on, but at the sake of sounding like I’m complaining or even hating, Imma chill. I got y’all. New album on the way. I WILL get the respect I deserve in this business or I won’t be in this business. PERIOD. Have a #splendid day twit fam!! I gotta take this opportunity to thank those that recognize what I am regardless of what I do or don’t sell, what a blog hag says I am, etc. Fun is fun, mayhem is entertaining, but COME ON PEOPLE!! There’s gotta be some sort of balance somewhere! Man, GOD bless the biz….

I do agree with artists, actress, and actors that having Snooki on the cover of Rolling Stone sends the wrong message. It suggests that being a pseudo reality star generates more publicity than being hardworking and having actual talent.

SMH: Omarion Outed By Cousin On Facebook

12 Jan

Omarion and his team have been working in overdrive to quiet the rumors about his alleged sexual interest in men. Omarion has been outed numerous times, most notably by Raz B and the ‘mysterious’ press release. But now the R&B singer is being outed by his own family? And on Facebook no less?

Remember Tajah Burton, the upcoming author of the book “Low Down Dirty Shame,” who wrote about men in the industry who are secretly gay? Well, following an interview, Omarion’s cousin/manager, Toni, decided to do a little pre-disaster damage control. You can read the Facebook conversation here.

If  Omarion’s not gay why would his cousin even think he would be in the book? Omarion all you gotta do is turn and push…that closet door will open up, I promise!
