To celebrate the release of his new album “Rolling Papers,” Wiz Khaifa hosted a bowling party with Power 105.1 at Chelsea Piers Monday night in New York. Of course Wiz’s boo, Amber Rose, was by his side for the bowling festivities. Isn’t cute, Amber and Wiz wore matching Chuck Taylos!
Tyrese is set to prepare for a big year, and no way to kick things off than being featured on the newest cover of JET Magazine. The R&B singer is gearing up for the release of two expected blockbuster movies (Fast Five and Transformers 3), a new book “How To Get Out Of Your Own Way,” and new album scheduled for a Summer release.
In the interview outtakes (which didn’t make the published article), Tyrese reveals how he continues to stay ‘hungry’:
“I live my life by these words: ‘You can’t get points today for yesterday’s game.’ You won MVP last week, OK, get over it. It’s like, there’s another level to this thing and people like Will Smith and Denzel and Rev Run and …[I have a few billion-dollar and multi-billion friends] … these people have really messed up from showing me this life and lifestyle because I know that there’s a-whole-nother level of playing field out there that I can get to. Despite Chris Brown’s outburst on Good Morning America, C Breezy will have a lot to celebrate next week when the final sales numbers are released. While Brown stated he wanted to sell a million records his first week (ain’t nothing wrong with dreaming big), it is predicted that he will sell roughly 250-275k units. According to Hits Daily Double, his release would be the second-largest of the year after Adele’s 351k sales debut.
In other news, Chris’s mom-manager is said to be very upset with Chris for his behavior yesterday. She immediately talked to him after the interview and reminded him of how hard he had worked to put his music out.
Chris appeared to “visibly calm down” after talking to Joyce the source said. “She has that impact on him. Joyce told Chris he was going to have to conduct himself with more control in interviews, because he will continued to be asked about Rihanna. Chris just feels like he can’t catch a break, and wants to move on from what happened. Joyce encouraged Chris to express himself through his musical performances though, and she told him to take any negative energy he is feeling, and channel it into the music.”
Meanwhile, he is still scheduled to perform on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars next week, despite rumors that ABC would cancel the performance since the popular dance show is on ABC’s network.
First Lil Wayne and Drake, then Kanye West and Jay-Z, Diddy and Rick Ross; and now Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka. Clearly creating a joint rap album is the thing these days.
