Now ya’ll know this is a train wreck waiting to happen. Just add this to the list of BET Blackbuster films that no one plans to watch…but here’s the info anyway:

“Soul Kittens Cabaret,” a new film musical about seven women who discover themselves while saving a Detroit club, will be released on DVD Jan. 11.

The film stars “American Idol” and Broadway singer-actress Fantasia Barrino (The Color Purple) and Grammy Award winner Faith Evans.  Barrino plays the Good Conscience and Evans plays the role of Bad Conscience (Evans) that serve to guide the other young women in the film on their journey. Also featured in the cast are Nicci Gilbert, Terrell Carter, Chrystale Wilson, Monifah Carter, Miss Sophia, Tondy Gallant and Dave Tolliver.

As press notes describe the film, “‘Soul Kittens Cabaret’ follows seven women on their journey to self- discovery as they struggle with temptation, personal demons and false promises. While trying to revive Detroit’s hottest club in town, the Soul Kittens take customers on the ride of their lives with sultry sex appeal and silky vocals.

Along the way, the Soul Kittens learn the real meaning of sisterhood from the yin and yang of reasoning, Good Conscience (Fantasia Barrino) and Bad Conscience (Faith Evans).”
